- Cost Accountant – The Cost Accountant is a key member of the operations finance team who partners with the Controller and Manufacturing Managers to monitor and review item and product costs, perform month end closing procedures, prepare internal financial/costing reports, and verify cost information in new products and cost saving projects, all while ensuring that proper internal controls and policies are in accordance with Company policy. A Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or business (with emphasis in accounting) and three to five years related manufacturing accounting experience is preferred. Strong application skills in Microsoft Excel are required and Power Query and SAP system experience is preferred.
- Environmental Health & Safety Manager – The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager will be responsible for a broad range of technical work across EHS disciplines to ensure a safe and healthy work environment, with an emphasis placed on reducing risk. The individual will lead corporate program implementation, agency required data collection and reporting, risk assessment, incident analysis, training and overall program management for all KUHN in North America entities, including two main manufacturing facilities in Brodhead, Wis., and Hutchinson, Kans. The EHS Manager will perform work both individually and in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement. A Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene or related major and/or five or more years in an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer, Specialist or Manager role in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred. Position is based in Brodhead, WI and requires up to 10% overnight travel to remote domestic locations.
- Field Support Representative (Northwest US) – We are currently seeking a Field Support Representative to support dealers in the states of Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho & Wyoming, in preventing and solving after sale service issues for products marketed by Kuhn North America. Responsibilities include serving as the after sales service representative for dealers in the region, responding in-person or via telephone to inquiries regarding questions on after sales service issues, product uses or applications, train dealership personnel on KNA services and service of products, supporting regional sales staff by working farm shows and demonstrating products, and perform field service campaigns. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in agricultural mechanics or agricultural engineering technology and knowledge of the ag. equipment industry is preferred. The position requires knowledge and skills in the areas of customer service, mechanics/repair, electronics, hydraulics, welding, and torch cutting. Application knowledge and experience in word processing (Word), spreadsheet applications (Excel), database management (Lotus Notes), presentation software (PowerPoint) Internet, and e-mail is preferred. The position requires at least 70% travel in the region and is home-based within the noted region.
- Manufacturing Engineer – The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for driving continuous improvement in all manufacturing operations within an assigned product line and establishing and maintaining safe and efficient production processes, with the objective of reducing cost of manufacturing while improving quality. Activities include leading projects to analyze engineering designs, procurement procedures, manufacturing methods, staffing requirements and machine utilization, material routing and handling methods, tool design and application, etc., acting as project leader/liaison and coordinate activities with manufacturing production departments, production/inventory control and design engineering departments, developing manufacturing processes/procedures/work instructions and routings and developing economic justification for capital equipment. A bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial engineering and/or five years engineering experience in a heavy industrial environment is required. Technical competency in steel fabrication, welding, machining, or paint finishing and thorough knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes is also required. 3-D CAD knowledge required, Pro-E/Creo is preferred.
- Product Evaluation Engineer/Technician – The Product Evaluation Engineer/Technician performs various product performance evaluation and testing activities, including Kuhn/Kuhn Knight/Kuhn Krause products, competitive product benchmarking and new R& D projects. A bachelor’s degree in agricultural or mechanical engineering or technology is required. Extensive knowledge of material spreading, mixing and hay tool technology is preferred. Knowledge and experience in the areas of farm equipment engineering, testing, mechanics/repair, electricity, hydraulics, and welding is also preferred. 50% travel required.
- Quality Assurance Manager – The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for the development and management of the overall KNA Quality Assurance Program, with the goal of ensuring process and procedure compliance and overall effectiveness for producing the highest quality products and responding to non-conformance with corrective measures. A bachelor’s degree in industrial technology, manufacturing engineering, or a related field and/or a minimum of five years of quality engineering experience is required. ASQ certification is preferred. A mechanical aptitude and knowledge and basic skills in all areas of manufacturing (machining, fabrication, welding, paint, and assembly) is preferred.
- Regional Sales Manager (Central US) – The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for attaining the Company’s goals in the assigned area by working with assigned Territory Managers (TMs) to successfully market the Company’s products over the long term, through a committed dealer network to satisfy our agricultural customers’ desire for maximum return on investment. Responsibilities include managing the activities of the TMs; working with TMs and other departments to develop and maintain a dealer organization to obtain corporate sales and customer satisfaction goals; and working with the TMs to attain the Company’s sales goals through informed and trained dealers, manage inventory to support sales potential of existing dealers, manage the Company’s assets under their control and dealers in the area, and provide feedback regarding product, competition, and programs to assist development of product and programs to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals. A bachelor’s degree in business or marketing and/or a minimum of eight years of sales management experience, including working with dealer networks and supervising TMs is preferred. Knowledge of farming/agriculture, experience selling heavy industrial or agricultural equipment, and knowledge of computer system use in sales management is also preferred.
- Technical Support Specialist (Balers & Mergers) – As a member of the Product Support team, this individual serves as the technical expert for set group of products (balers & mergers) and supports Kuhn North America personnel and dealers in resolving after sales service issues. Responsibilities include collaborating with other Kuhn North America departments to diagnose & resolve service and performance issues, reviewing and processing warranty claims, developing service bulletins and service instructions, along with creating and presenting training material. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in agricultural mechanics or agricultural engineering technology is preferred. The position requires knowledge and skills in the areas of customer service, mechanics/repair, electronics, and hydraulics.
- Technical Support Specialist (Electronics) – The Technical Support Specialist serves as the expert in electronics applications in KUHN products and is responsible for assisting the aftermarket group in resolving internal and external customer inquiries. Responsibilities include assisting dealers with electronic questions, troubleshooting and repairing scale and monitor components, and reviewing and processing electronics warranty claims and completing failure analysis. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in agricultural mechanics or agricultural engineering technology is preferred. The position requires knowledge and skills in the areas of customer service, mechanics/repair, electronics, and hydraulics. Application knowledge and experience in word processing (Word), spreadsheet applications (Excel), presentation software (PowerPoint), Internet, and e-mail is preferred.
- Tooling Designer – The Tooling Designer utilizes CAD software extensively and occasionally hand sketches to design welding, machining, and assembly fixtures for manufacturing. Duties include designing fixtures and tooling in Pro Engineer/CREO and making detailed 2D prints of all components; fabricating or modifying custom equipment, fixtures, and tooling for use in manufacturing; and introducing tooling and fixturing designs to custom fabrication and production and training employees on its proper use. Advanced education in engineering or manufacturing or three years’ experience in manufacturing required. The position requires and bachelor’s or associate’s degree in mechanical or agricultural engineering and knowledge and basic skills in the areas of machining, fabrication, welding, assembly, and CAD software. Pro Engineer/CREO experience is preferred.
