Superior Windrows, Simplified Operations

Heavy-Duty Belt Conveyors

With one of the widest in the industry, the 42” (1.1 m) belt delivers the capacity needed to handle the heaviest crops with ease. Commercial-grade conveyors ensure a smooth, consistent windrow, regardless of discharge side. The conveyors offer self-cleaning performance and eliminate the need for tracking adjustments. A bolted belt splice allows for quick removal or replacement, minimizing downtime due to maintenance or normal wear.

Floating Windguard and Standard Crop Netting

The redesigned solid windguard ensures a seamless transition from pickup to belt, improving crop flow while minimizing loss. Its reinforced construction adds strength and durability, helping maintain performance in demanding conditions.

Adjustable turnbuckles on each end allow operators to fine-tune the pitch angle for optimal performance across varying crop types. A simple, yet durable, spring system enables the windguard to float freely, automatically adapting to changing crop volumes for consistent, efficient operation.

Standard crop netting greatly limits leaf loss during transition to the belt and ultimately improves leaf incorporation in the windrow, resulting in higher forage quality.

IntelliMerge® ISOBUS Controls

The IntelliMerge® ISOBUS control system features a redesigned, intuitive interface that enhances operator comfort and ease of use. From a single display, operators can quickly make adjustments, monitor performance, and run diagnostics to keep operations running smoothly.

Equipped with an acre counter, oil temperature sensor, and hitch angle sensor, the system delivers real-time insights for improved efficiency. Built-in flexibility allows operators to temporarily disable select sensors, ensuring work can continue with limited functionality until service is completed.

Fully ISOBUS-compatible, the system makes switching between tractors simple and seamless, eliminating the need to move wiring harnesses or control boxes and keeping you productive with minimal downtime.

Commercial-Grade Pickups with Anti-Wrap Discs

The commercially engineered pickups deliver gentle handling while standing up to extreme operating conditions. Special alloy tine bars, combined with larger cam follower bearings, enhance strength and wear resistance for long-lasting performance. The dual-cam design, with heavy-duty, sealed cam followers, ensure smooth operation and extended service life, even in the toughest conditions. Integrated frame construction further reinforces the pickup for overall strength and durability.

Designed with efficiency in mind, the streamlined structure prevents crop buildup, keeping the machine clean and operating at peak performance.

To minimize wrapping in long crops, such as oats or long grasses, patented HDPE anti-wrapping discs are installed at the ends of the pickups and rotate with the tine bars. This greatly reduces the amount of dead space where long crops like to wrap as seen with all pickup-style mergers

Constant Float® Suspension

A simple and effective mechanical spring suspension system is utilized for superior float characteristics. This unique design, inspired by the proven KUHN trailed mower, eliminates complicated hydraulic requirements and the need for tractor float valve engagement, unlike other mergers in the industry.

Versatile and Adaptable to Your Environment

Multiple Delivery Options

The MM 1102 and MM 1302 can merge crop to the left, right, split or with either wing in the raised position. Having the ability to raise the wings independently is particularly useful for opening up fields, merging around obstacles or cleaning up point rows in irregularly shaped fields.

Self-Contained Hydraulics

The hydraulic drive pumps oil through the main hydraulic blocks to run all the functions of the machine, including the pickup speed, belt direction and pickup height. The MM 1102 and 1302 offer 26% more hydraulic power for optimal performance, even in the heaviest crops. The tongue houses the hydraulic reservoir and incorporates a sealed bulkhead design to prevent oil leakage or contamination within the closed system. A large capacity reservoir keeps hydraulic oil cooler as it circulates, maintaining optimal system performance, protecting components, and supporting efficient operation through long days and high volumes.

Narrow & Simple Transport

The simple folding design allows quick transition from field to road. Transport is a narrow 12’1” wide. Balanced tongue weight during transport and in the field helps you maintain control at all times. At 10 GPM of hydraulic flow, field to transport position is possible in approximately 12 seconds.

No Steering Axle Required

The MM 1102 and MM 1302 do not require a steering axle, even on steep hillsides. This is a result of its short wheelbase and is an advantage over competitive mergers. This simplification reduces routine maintenance and improves overall reliability. An added benefit of the short wheelbase is reduced tongue weight, so the tractor does not get “pushed around” by the merger.

Floating Skid Shoes

Dual, wide skid shoes allow each head to rapidly adapt to undulating field conditions while maintaining very low ground pressure. Floating skid shoes are a KUHN exclusive. The pivoting action allows the pickups to float over pivot tracks and rough terrain. Additionally, the special shape and pivoting of the shoe allow for self-cleaning when lifted into headland position to eliminate crop buildup. The skid shoes are reversible on their mounts for even wear and longer life.

Time Saving Features for In-Field Efficiency

MM1302_SPLIT BEARING.JPG

Split Bearing Design

The two-piece poly tine-bar bearing is engineered to simplify routine maintenance. Its innovative design allows for bearing replacement in under a minute, while the tine bolt requires only a single wrench for fast, easy tine changes. A specially formulated bearing material reduces friction and extends service life, helping keep your machine running efficiently with minimal downtime.

Bearing Wear Sleeves

An industry-exclusive feature, standard bearing wear sleeves extend tine bar life by providing an easily replaceable split mounting surface. Ideal for abrasive conditions, these wear guards can be replaced in under a minute, without removing the tine bar, reducing downtime and keeping your operation running efficiently.

Standard AutoLube Greasing System

Standard AutoLube grease system ensures all key points are greased upon start-up of the machine, limiting daily maintenance.

2-Point Hitch

The specially designed 2-point hitch makes hookup quick and easy. The swiveling headstock eliminates driveline chatter and allows up to 90-degree turns. The hitch is Cat. 3/4/4N quick hitch compatible. An integrated dual stand provides a large footprint and swings and locks easily when attached to the tractor.
