The KUHN Axis 25 precision fertilizer spreader is a high-performance mounted spreader designed to help growers improve nutrient efficiency, maximize productivity and take full advantage of precision farming technologies. Featuring KUHN’s exclusive CDA (Coaxial Distribution Adjustment) technology, the Axis 25 maintains a consistent spread pattern across varying speeds, application rates and working widths, ensuring accurate nutrient placement at rates up to 1,488 lbs./min. (675 kg/min.). Advanced capabilities including VariSpread 18 section control, Variable Rate Application, OptiPoint headland management and full ISOBUS compatibility help reduce overlap, optimize fertilizer use and simplify machine operation. With working widths up to 140 ft (42 m) and up to 120 ft (36 m) with urea, a durable maintenance-free mechanical drive system and robust corrosion-resistant construction, the Axis 25 delivers efficiency, precision and long-term reliability for modern farming operations.

Unrivaled Application Accuracy

Coaxial Distribution Adjustment System (CDA)

Different fertilizers, variable application rates, multiple working widths – your fertilizer spreader must quickly adapt to different needs. The CDA system, part of every KUHN Axis fertilizer spreader, helps meet these challenges while providing easy adjustments. There are two important features that make the CDA system unique:

o   The pivoting hopper base enables quick adaptation to various fertilizers and working widths by adjusting the drop point of the fertilizer onto the spreading discs.

o   Specially designed metering outlets, close to the center of the discs, allow multiple supply points to the paddles. This helps ensure constant fertilizer flow and an even spread pattern.

You can modify the working width in a few seconds by simply changing the drop point of the fertilizer onto the disc. This is done without any tools by pivoting the base. No paddles have to be adjusted and no manual contact with the fertilizer is required.

Extra-Slow Agitator

The agitator regulates the supply, promotes fertilizer flow and helps keep the fertilizer intact. This is because the agitators stop immediately when the metering outlets are closed, protecting the granules from unnecessary agitation. Rotating at only 17 RPM, they handle the granules gently to significantly reduce damage and prevent powder formation.

More Accuracy with Drop Point

To ensure an accurate drop point of the fertilizer on the disc, a brush drop guide follows the fertilizer flow until it is caught by the paddles.

Superior Distribution

Precision starts on the spreading disc. The optimized lateral distribution of material across the disc, combined with the unique interaction of long and short paddles, creates a more consistent and accurate longitudinal spread pattern. This advanced design enhances power transfer to every granule, enabling faster, more controlled ejection and ensuring the right dose reaches the right place.

Double Overlap Spread Pattern

The triangular spread pattern is designed to deliver consistent, even coverage across the entire field. By overlapping each pass, it naturally fills in coverage areas and helps maintain application accuracy. While the spreader can create multiple pattern types for specialized applications, the triangular pattern is preferred because it minimizes the effects of wind drift and driving variation, giving operators greater confidence in every pass.

Innovative Features to Meet Your Needs

2026_Visuel VARISPREAD 18_V.Finale_HD.jpg

VariSpread 18

VariSpread 18 comes standard on the AXIS M 25 V, delivering advanced section control that helps maximize productivity while reducing both overapplication and underapplication. Integrated with GPS guidance, the system automatically adjusts fertilizer flow across 18 individual sections (9 left and 9 right) to maintain the correct application rate for changing working widths. The system also enables accurate last-pass and gap spreading, ensuring consistent coverage right to the end of the field.

OptiPoint

Automatic headland control with OptiPoint is a software solution that determines the optimal metering outlet settings based on the type of fertilizer being applied, the working speed and the selected spread width. Using GPS positioning, the system automatically identifies the precise locations where the outlets should open or close at headlands, helping to minimize overlaps and reduce application losses.

Variable Rate Technology

The AXIS M 25 is also capable of variable-rate technology (VRT) applications when connected to a GPS signal. By applying different fertilizer rates across distinct management zones, operators can improve return on investment (ROI) while reducing environmental impact, ensuring nutrients are placed where crops can use them most effectively.

Effective Border Management

o   TELIMAT X: Axis 25 fertilizer spreaders can be equipped with the new TELIMAT X border deflector, now optimized with the addition of two flaps for even greater precision. This technology ensures perfectly controlled spreading along filed borders by following the sprayer’s tracks. For optimal ease of use, this deflector is controlled via a double-acting hydraulic valve. Even in the event of an internal leak in the hydraulic valve, the TELIMAT X will not move unintentionally.

o   GSE X: The GSE X border deflector, available as optional equipment for the Axis 25, combines two key factors in fertilization: optimized yield and environmental responsibility. Hydraulically controlled directly from the tractor cab, it allows for inward spreading of fertilizer while driving along the border. The metering outlet on the border side is then shut off. The GSE X is also capable of preventing fertilizer from being spread in between raised beds, making it ideally suited for spreading on specialty crops in raised beds.

Designed with Operator Comfort in Mind

Axis_MechanicalDrive.jpg

Patented Maintenance-Free Mechanical Drive

The patented mechanical drive system is designed for reliable, maintenance-free operation. All shafts and gearboxes run in an oil or grease bath and are fully protected from fertilizer dust, dirt, moisture, and mechanical damage by a heavy-duty frame construction. The drive components are easily accessible from the outside for convenient inspection, while the system operates quietly for enhanced user comfort. Built with unique patented technology, the mechanical drive incorporates overload protection systems that safeguard the entire gearbox assembly, including the agitators, against damage caused by blockages, improper operation, or hard-shifting PTO shafts.

Fast, Convenient Filling

The large hopper opening and integrated foldable ladder are designed to make filling faster, easier, and safer. The wide opening allows for convenient loading with either a loader or tender, while the two-position ladder provides secure access for filling and hopper inspection. When unfolded, the angled ladder offers enhanced comfort and stability, yet folds neatly to remain within road transport dimensions.

Simple Calibration

The integrated calibration chute streamlines the setup process, making spreader calibration fast, simple, and efficient. Conveniently stored above the disc guard, it can be quickly installed to direct fertilizer into the collection container for accurate performance verification.
