EMPLOYMENT OPENINGS IN BRODHEAD, WISCONSIN
Assembly (2nd Shift) - The position involves assembly and installation of sub-assemblies, parts and options on unit shells. The position requires a mechanical aptitude, the ability to operate a forklift and power tools, interpret blueprints and measuring devices, and perform basic math functions.
Warehouse (4th/Weekend Shift) - Responsible for unloading, picking, handling, transporting and storing materials and maintaining accurate inventory and records for 4th shift manufacturing cells, support departments, and service parts. Create shop orders in ERP system. Experience in basic blueprint reading, forklift and overhead crane operation, and computerized inventory tracking systems is preferred.
Fabrication (4th/Weekend Shift) - The employee is responsible for operation of steel fabrication equipment including laser, plasma, shear, brake press, punch press and saw. The candidate must be able to read basic blueprints and measuring devices, operate forklift and overhead crane, regularly lift up to 50 pounds, and effectively communicate in a verbal and written manner.
Product Support Representative - This service position provides after sale service support for customers and dealers and product development support for engineering, testing, and prototype through feedback from end users. On a daily basis, the individual responds to customer inquiries and solves service issues via telephone. Providing technical assistance for dealer training and trade shows and troubleshooting/repair of products at customer location requires occasional travel. An associates or bachelors degree in agricultural/mechanical engineering technology is preferred. The position requires knowledge and skills in the areas of customer service, mechanics/repair, electricity, hydraulics, welding, and torch cutting. Available positions are based in Columbia, TN.
Maintenance (2nd Shift) - We’re seeking an individual with a strong background in electrical maintenance with at least 5 - 10 years manufacturing/industrial maintenance and repair experience and/or a technical diploma in electro/mechanical maintenance. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment and machine tools. The position require a thorough knowledge of electrical circuits and components, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, mechanical drives and components, hand tools and fasteners, welding equipment and a broad knowledge of manufacturing processes.
CNC Machinist (2nd Shift) - The employee is responsible for set up and operation of machining equipment including various presses, mills, hobbing equipment, and manual/CNC lathes. The position requires the ability to operate measuring and material handling equipment, read blueprints and perform basic math functions. A vocational diploma in machine tool and production machining experience is preferred.
Product Evaluation Technician (full time) - The Product Evaluation Technician performs various product performance evaluation and testing activities, including Kuhn/Kuhn Knight products, competitive product benchmarking and new R& D projects. A bachelor’s degree in agricultural technology is preferred and a two or four-year degree program is required. Extensive knowledge of material spreading, mixing and hay tool technology is preferred. Knowledge and experience in the areas of farm equipment engineering, testing, mechanics/repair, electricity, hydraulics, and welding is also preferred. Positions based in Brodhead, WI.Welder (1st, 2nd and 4th/Weekend Shift) - Seeking skilled welders to weld units shells, sub-assemblies and components. A vocational diploma in welding or a minimum of two years production welding experience is required. Experience in GMAW and flux cored arc welding, blue print reading and operating material handling equipment is preferred.
Manufacturing Engineer - Your main focus will be to support continuous improvement in the welding operations, as well as, other manufacturing operations. Additional responsibilities include acting as liaison between manufacturing departments and engineering, developing and maintaining manufacturing processes, justification of capital equipment, and improving workflow through plant. Five years of engineering experience in a heavy industrial environment, a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial engineering, and technical competency in steel fabrication and welding is required.
Technical Publications Specialist – The employee is responsible for creating parts manuals, operators manuals, assembly instructions, decals and other technical documents to support our product lines. Knowledge of and experience using CAD (ProE or SolidWorks preferred) and desktop publishing software, ability to manipulate 3D graphics, excellent writing and proofreading skills and related experience in engineering documentation is preferred. Knowledge of heavy machinery manufacturing and agricultural products preferred.
Parts Packer - The full-time position (M-F, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) involves picking, packing and shipping repair parts. A basic understanding of parts inventory, keyboarding and basic math skills, ability to operate a forklift and frequently lift/move up to 35 is required. Farm equipment knowledge is a plus. The successful candidate must possess effective verbal and written communications skills.
