Kuhn Knight, Inc. to Expand Manufacturing and Distribution Facilities in Brodhead, WI

Brodhead, WI – USA – September 24, 2003

Kuhn Knight, Inc. is pleased to announce the construction of expanded manufacturing and distribution facilities at its North American headquarters located in Brodhead, Wisconsin, USA.  

Construction ground breaking for the 63,600 square foot building expansion took place on September 24, 2003.  Project completion is scheduled for March 15, 2004.  

The expansion will improve manufacturing efficiency and quality by consolidating manufacturing production into one facility and streamlining operations with new, state-of-the-art technology.  It will also

 provide room for future training and showroom facilities and the expansion of parts distribution facilities The total cost of this construction project, along with related new machinery procurement is estimated at approximately $5.0 million. This project constitutes a significant investment and major commitment by Kuhn Knight to manufacture and distribute products in North America in the future. 

In addition, Kuhn Knight announced several facility and site improvement plans, including new machinery storage and employee parking areas, fencing, painting and landscaping.  These projects will be funded, in part, through a partnership with the City of Brodhead, which resulted in the development of a TIF district. Kuhn Knight recognized the local authorities in attendance for their support and assistance in this expansion project. 

In December 2002, the Kuhn Group acquired Knight Manufacturing, and formed Kuhn Knight, Inc.  This purchase has propelled Kuhn to North America’s and the world’s largest manufacturer of TMR mixers and manure spreaders.  Kuhn Knight, Inc. currently employs approximately 250 people at two manufacturing facilities in North America, located in Brodhead, Wisconsin and Greeley, Colorado.
