The Kuhn Group, a major global farm implement manufacturer, is pleased to announce the construction of additional warehousing facilities at its Canadian Distribution Center located in Sainte Madeleine, in the Province of Quebec, Canada. 

Construction of a high-bay (31 feet high) 22,000 square foot warehouse equipped with a high capacity overhead crane has started on August 5, 2003. The project is expected to be completed by November 15, 2003.  

This construction constitutes a major investment and a major commitment from Kuhn to its agricultural business and presence in Canada. Kuhn has been present in Canada for over 50 years, and has benefited from the operation of a Distribution Center in this location for 25 years. Kuhn machines and parts are shipped throughout Canada, from Newfoundland to British Columbia, from this location. 

In December 2002, Kuhn acquired Knight Manufacturing, and formed Kuhn Knight, Inc. This purchase has propelled Kuhn to North America’s and the world’s largest manufacturer of TMR mixers and manure spreaders. Kuhn’s market shares are growing rapidly in Canada, and so is the size of the machines offered for sale to Canadian farmers and ranchers, thus requiring the need for larger and more efficient warehousing facilities. 

Kuhn operates two farm equipment manufacturing facilities in North America, located in Wisconsin and Colorado, as well as five distribution centers and offices located in New York, Tennessee, Kansas, Oregon, and Quebec, Canada. 

Kuhn is celebrating its 175^th year in 2003. Kuhn was founded in 1828, and is the world's leading single-brand producer of agricultural implements, with key market positions in hay and forage, plowing, soil preparation, seeding and planting, spraying, fertilizer spreading, and livestock feeding equipment. Kuhn products are sold worldwide in more than 80 countries. Kuhn operates four factories in France, and two in the United States, as well as several international sales and distribution subsidiaries located in core market areas. Total employment is approximately 2500 people.
